Welcome To Our Ranch
Mitch purchased ten acres of the family farm his grandparents started. It is settled just outside of Downsville Wisconsin on top of a hill overlooking the hills of the Chippewa river. Summer brings the views of all the farmlands planted and pastured. Fall brings the most beautiful views of the neighboring woods changing colors.
Mitch has always had intentions of building a house and starting a small farm of his own as he has always enjoyed farming since a young age. Life threw some curve balls and put that on hold. In the Spring of 2017 a friend (Nicole) was looking for a place to board her horse because of life curve balls also. This horse was brought to Mitchs family farm and started a relationship that introduced the boys (Mitch and his son Taylor) and the girls (Nicole and her three daughters; Kalyn, Kinsley, Hadley).
The love of farming and farm animals between the six of them made the farm life happen quite rapidly. They added a couple more horses and then some Charolais calves.
They got introduced to the registered longhorn breed shortly after that by a great family/friends and purchased their first two registered longhorn calves.
In just a few short years they have expanded both their longhorn breed and Charlois breed and are loving every minute of it. This started the Diamond K Ranch in 2021.
